Kell Bailoch 1.0

Yay for days off between 24 hour shifts. I primed this dude up and tonight I was able to sit down and get some paint on him. He is part of my "How well can I paint it in under an hour" experiment. He is kinda fun and even though I stopped at the hour I am going to go back and finish him up with a few highlights on the boots, coat, hat and face, because it just looks like he is screaming out for a bit of stubble and I have never tried it before so lets give it a go.

I'm still thinking about basing for him. He is a sniper so he should have some kind of shrubbery around him. maybe even some tall grass. Again something I have never done so this will be a real adventure.

Ok Color Lists
Coat is Vallejo Model Color - Russian Green.
Rifle Stock - Vallejo Beasty Brown.
Metals - P3 Pig Iron (I am really falling in love with this more and more, its a deep rich metallic color, more so than Chain Mail from any line I have found).
Boots and Leather Straps - P3 Bootstrap Brown
Bandana - Vallejo Model Color - Carmine Red
Skin - Vallejo Flat Flesh tone with Secret Weapons Miniatures Flesh Wash.
And of course everything got a wash of Devlin Mud (aka talent in a bottle).

And now for the part of the show where you get to see pictures.

Thoughts, Musings, and a wee bit of Rambling.

I have been working pretty much strait through since the last time I posted. I haven't had a chance to paint or put anything together so nothing much to post about on that front. I am glad that I finally had a day off, and have been hanging out with the family as it should be.

I did prime up Drake McBane and Harlan Versh while the kids where napping/outside playing with the leaves, and will work on them in the next week or two.

I have been having quite a bit of fun doing the whole paint it fast by hand thing and I might keep that going for a while and knock out a bunch of Warmachine Solo's and Casters.

I got the new needle for my Patriot 105. It works well but I noticed a bit of a difference in spray pattern so I broke it down and did a deep cleaning hoping that fixes the issue. The needle is not yet bent so at least I have that going for me.

The next thing (well what I am working on right now) is a review of the Vallejo Game Air line. If you recall from a few posts prior, Vallejo was kind (crazy?) enough to send me a bunch of the new line to try out and review. I am going to post that all together as one review from start to finish so no 1.0, 2.0 updates, just a clean walk through of the whole thing. I am thinking I should probably create a reviews tab for stuff like that. If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.

Other than that... I am eagerly awaiting the Secret Weapons display tiles I kickstarted over a year ago. Looks like those should be here in the next month or so and that will be a really cool side project.

Well that's all for now, I'm going to go hang out with the family.
